About the author
Adelia Cook
Author of Out of Nowhere: A South African Story.
Why she wrote it
In her own words
The Prelude to Out of Nowhere sets out what Adelia Cook hoped the book would do, and how she wanted it to be read.
Although I have endeavoured to write this book as a series of non-fictional circumstances, I may have unintentionally presented certain bias in my interpretation of events.
…I personally do not see it as a black or white but rather a grey problem, with no short-term solution and no wrong or right.
What I am trying to demonstrate is the decline of civilisation, as we know it, when crime rules.
The dedication
For Alex, Paul, Cowboy, and Roger, may they rest in peace.
